Fishers 227

A Line From Us

Jesus said, “I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly”
(Jn 10:10). What does abundant living in Christ comprise?

Spiritual Happiness and Prosperity gives a good overall introduction to what vibrant Christian living is like. It certainly includes Godly Contentment, answering rightly the question Am I Owner or Steward of All My Stuff? It involves cultivating one aspect of the fruit of the Spirit – patience – as The Plant that Finally Bloomed makes clear. It is sustained by a disciplined prayer life, and Praying the Epistles – Practical Applications can help us with that.

But it all begins with a sinner coming to himself, realising his desperate spiritual poverty and his need of God to save him. The Parable of the Prodigal Son brings out this facet of the Gospel most clearly (you may give out this issue of Fishers as a Gospel tract to your unsaved friends, asking them to pay special attention to this article).

We pray that you will find rich spiritual refreshment as you read this issue.
