Fishers 226

A Line From Us

One of the most precious truths for Christians is the reality that “while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son” (Rom 5:10). In this issue of Fishers, we celebrate the many facets of this reconciliation.

It all begins with God seeking us out and saving us from our sins, as The Lost Coin explains. We were those “having no hope and without God in the world” (Eph 2:12). Death in Adam but Life in Christ explains why everyone is born sinful, but also tells us how God has opened a way for sinners to receive eternal life by believing in Christ. The Greatness of God points out the awesomeness of God – especially as seen in the greatness of His saving work. Finally, how God saves sinners and what it cost Him to do so is succinctly summarized for us in Reconciliation with God.

What ensues is Perfect Peace When We Trust in God; this is the testimony of one who has experienced the blessedness of being reconciled to God. And daily, we are reminded of how great that reconciliation is, as we approach Him with our cares and needs, but in awe and adoration. Praying to a Holy God makes this clear.

An Important Notice on Fishers 225:

The article The Obedience of Faith – Abraham published in Fishers 225 was written based on Francis W. Dixon’s study notes as published by the Words of Life Ministries in their Bible Study Notes, Series 30, “Studies in Hebrews Eleven”. The author used Francis Dixon’s original outline, as well as some of his elaborations. However, we neglected to acknowledge the original publisher and give credit to the original author. For this, we sincerely apologise.

We have contacted Words of Life Ministries to apologise, and are very grateful that they have most graciously accepted our apologies.
