A Line From Us

To be a Christian is not just to escape Hell's fire or to have a good life in Heaven after death. More importantly, it is a call to live a righteous life now to reflect God's holiness in the continuing transformation of one's character and conduct with the help of the Holy Spirit. The Bible says, But as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, 'Be holy, for I am holy' (1 Pet 1:15-16).

By our own effort, we will never be able to achieve what God has called us to do. Thankfully, we have a great High Priest, our Lord Jesus Christ, Who is sitting at the right hand of God, interceding for all those who belong to Him. He prays to the Father for the elect only as He said, I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours (Jn 17:9). If you are a genuine believer of Jesus Christ, you can be sure that He is praying for you all the time in Heaven. But how do you know that you are a genuine believer? The author of the article The Most Important Decision in our Lives helps us to differentiate a true believer from a mere professor of the Christian faith through three of Jesus' parables. It is to help us to come before the Lord to search our hearts and see if we are truly His people.

In this issue we include the testimony of a young man who testified that salvation is truly by grace alone, through faith alone and in Christ alone. Christ loves sinners so much that He willingly gave up His sinless life to purchase their redemption. Each sinner saved by grace is very precious to Him. If you have already been saved by His grace, are you living a holy life as God demands and is Christ precious to you? May God bless you as you read these articles!
